Technical Writers Serbia Meetup at Seven Bridges
On January 25, 2018 I was given the opportunity to present at one of the Technical Writers Serbia Meetups related to authoring tools and practices. This presentation was about the “Docs as Code” approach to authoring and publishing of documentation sets for multiple products from a single source. A brief summary of the topics I covered:
- Selection and setup of the toolchain to author and publish markdown-based documentation
- Experience with development of custom Jekyll plugins
- Documentation single-sourcing using Jekyll and Liquid as the templating language
- Automation of the publishing process using Python scripting and Confluence API
The event was hosted at Seven Bridges, Belgrade office, attended by members of the Belgrade Tech Writing community and Seven Bridges employees.
